Robert, (or Varc), has been actively taking photographs since 1968. However, his photographs matured with his enrollment in the School of Visual Arts, and The New School in New York City starting in 1982. There, under the tutelage of such photographic notables as George Tice, Ben Fernandez, and Marcia Lipman, combined with his discovery of larger format cameras, infrared film, and the extended photographic print, his photographs matured and became more personalized. He has since had numerous shows in restaurants and galleries in New York City and New Jersey. They included: "Celtic Crossings"; The Aran Islands, a Tribute to J.M. Synge"; "Ghosts of Ulysses"; "Daddy's Girls"; "Just like Augustine Boulogne"; and, "Asbury XXX, 30 years/30 people". He has been the architectural photographer for both Pavorini/Mc Govern, and Structuretone building companies in NYC. He also produced the cover art for Christiane Szabo's debut album "Saltwater". He currently has an exhibit at Bar 135 in NYC, "Street Seens".
